Virgil E. Miles Of Weippe Succumbs To Pneumonia
OROFINO - Virgil E. Miles, 70 a lifelong Weippe area resident, died Tuesday morning at Clearwater Valley Hospital at Orofino. Miles had been hospitalized four days with pneumonia.
He was born March 12, 1933, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miles, at Weippe.
He worked as a dairyman, a carpenter and woods worker in the Weippe area.
He was married to Thelma French at Asotin in 1946. She died in the 1950s.
Survivors include three brothers, John and Dale, Weippe, and Delbert, Bellingham, Wash.
The family suggests memorials be made in his name to the Weippe Wesleyan Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Weippe Wesleyan Church with burial at Weippe Memorial Cemetery. Gilbert's Funeral Home at Orofino is in charge of arrangements.
